Resume/Bio

Jeff Jablonski has embraced his talents as a character tenor without sacrificing a solo voice well suited to Mozart, Baroque and Sacred music.  Brian Dickie, general director of Chicago Opera Theater, calls Jeff a “gifted comedian”, a gift that Jeff shares regularly with the Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, most recently as Nanki Poo in The Mikado.  Besides comedy, Jeff shares his creative energy with new audiences on outreach tours, and with composers when he premiers new operas.  With a Master of Music degree from the Chicago College of Performing Arts, Jeff has been involved with performance groups throughout the Midwest, from Cedar Rapids Opera Theater and Music by the Lake to Grant Park Orchestra and Chicago Symphony Choruses.
